GA4 is powerful. It's also a nightmare.
14.2 million websites use Google Analytics 4. Most of them find it frustrating. We built Nook to fix that.
Where it started
The forced migration from Universal Analytics left millions of site owners confused, frustrated, and avoiding their own data. We built Nook because we were frustrated too. Every time we opened GA4, we spent 10 minutes clicking around trying to answer a simple question: "how's my site doing?"
We looked at alternatives. Fathom and Plausible are beautiful tools — but they make you leave GA4 entirely. If you need conversion tracking, e-commerce data, or custom events, you're stuck choosing between a bad interface and a limited feature set.
There had to be a third option: keep your GA4 data, but see it through a dashboard that actually respects your time.
What we built
Nook connects to your existing GA4 and Search Console data and makes it beautiful and usable. No migration. No new tracking script. No data loss. You keep GA4 running — Nook just gives you a better way to see what it collects.
Pre-computed rollups mean sub-second load times. AI-powered summaries mean you spend less time interpreting charts. Multi-site portfolios mean one dashboard instead of twenty browser tabs.
How we think about building
These are not aspirational values on a poster. They are the decisions we make every day when building Nook.
Clarity over complexity
Every screen should answer a question, not create new ones. If a feature takes a tutorial to explain, we redesign it until it does not.
Your data, your terms
We read from GA4. We never lock you in. Your data lives in your Google account, and disconnecting Nook changes nothing on your end. Zero vendor lock-in.
Speed is a feature
Every dashboard loads in under a second. Not because we cut corners, but because we pre-compute rollups and cache aggressively. Waiting for analytics to load defeats the purpose of having analytics.
Honest about trade-offs
Nook is not for everyone. If you need cookie-free analytics, choose Plausible. If you need custom visualizations, choose Looker Studio. We tell you that on our comparison pages because trust matters more than conversions.
